Description:
This antique set of jewel flower vases was hand crafted in Kashmir, India sometime in the 17th century.
A lot of jewels were used to create this set. The vases feature beautiful lapis lazuli, turquoise, malachite, red onyx, marble, red ruby, amber, and coral inlaid into beautifully designed brass bodies. These designs were commonly used in the Mogoul Empire in the 17th century, and can be found in the architecture of the royal buildings and rooms of the period.
The designs, which include mihrab, were added to communicate romance, respect, and to represent the good life.
It was a very special gift that was intended to be used in a palace or high end home.
