Description:

This authentic, hand-made Gardener teapot was specially designed for the royal families in Afghanistan, where drinking tea was common.
During the 19th century, the best teapots were made in Japan, where they also drink a lot of tea. Gardener was a well known Japanese maker of these tea pots.
The royal families of Afghanistan wanted to serve tea to their guests and dignitaries in real Japanese teapots.  These Gardener tea pots were hand-made in Japan and China and then imported to Afghanistan.
These special Afghanistan imported Gardener teapots can be distinguished by the brand name Gardener written in Farsi on the bottom.
This teapot has a one-of-a-kind blue background with flowers design, and comes with a matching tea cup. The bottom of the teapot is currently cracked, but it can be repaired by an expert upon request for an additional fee.
The teapot can be purchase separately for $495, and the teacup for $200.
